How do you keep cut produce safe without preservatives?
Quick answer
By keeping the time between cutting and your fridge as short as possible, washing in potable water, and holding an unbroken cold chain โ instead of using preservatives to buy shelf life.
Preservatives and dipping treatments exist to solve one problem: keeping cut produce presentable across days of storage and display. We do not have that problem, because we cut within 10 minutes of dispatch and deliver in the early morning. What we do instead is control the basics โ potable-water washing, clean handling, and cold holding from our kitchen to your door, since temperature control after cutting is what actually preserves both safety and quality.
