What is GoForFresh? Farm-to-Doorstep Fresh Fruit, Explained

GoForFresh is a farm-to-doorstep marketplace for limited-harvest fresh fruit. Instead of selling anonymous, graded fruit that has spent days or weeks in cold storage, we sell a share of one specific farmer's real harvest — listed in the exact quantity that was grown, with a live counter that depletes as people buy.

When a harvest is gone, it's gone. Ordering closes until the next verified farm's fruit is ready. It's the opposite of an infinite supermarket shelf, and that's the point: real fruit is seasonal and finite, and we think the way you buy it should reflect that.

The journey from a farm to a typical fruit basket is long and opaque. Fruit is often picked under-ripe so it survives transit, passes through several middlemen who each take a cut, sits in cold storage, and may be gas-ripened to look uniform on a shelf. The farmer earns a fraction of the final price, and you get fruit that looks fine but rarely tastes like it should.

We built GoForFresh to collapse that distance. By connecting one verified farm directly to the people who'll eat its fruit, we cut out the middle layers — so farmers earn more, you often pay less than retail, and the fruit reaches you days from harvest instead of weeks.

A farmer confirms an upcoming harvest. Our team visits the farm in person to verify quality, capture photos and record its GPS location. Only then does the harvest go live — usually about ten days before it reaches your city — with the farmer's name and story attached.

You reserve your quantity and pay online. Paying up front locks your share of a limited harvest and funds the farmer fairly. On the arrival date, your fruit is delivered in the city, date and time slot you chose. And if it's not fresh when it arrives, you get a full refund and keep the fruit.

Transparency is the whole product. Every listing names a real farmer, shows real photos of their farm, and pins the exact location on a map — because we've physically been there. The scarcity is genuine: the counter reflects true remaining stock, never a fake timer. And the freshness-or-free guarantee means you carry none of the risk of pre-ordering.
